DSC Services Data Warehousing.

What is Data Warehousing and why should I care?  We hear these questions all the time and simply put you should care.  Data Warehousing is the process of placing all of a company's data into a centralized database system and using data access tools to draw meaningful correlations from the data so top management can make better informed decisions.  The problem with data warehousing is that companies try to do too much too fast, and they do not have clearly defined and measurable goals for these huge databases.  It’s no wonder over half of all data warehousing initiatives fail to obtain the desired results.  You can have huge terabyte size databases running on two million dollars worth of computers, but if you don’t know how two use it, you might as well thrown that money out the window.  DSC uses a different approach.  We don’t claim to be experts in data warehousing circles and we don’t build data warehouses for companies or tell anyone how they should set up their database systems.  What we know is Data!  We know how to store it, relate it, query it, clean it, report it, and warehouse it.  When we refer to DSC’s data warehouse we are referencing our database systems and methods.  We will store your data on our system for as long as you want, and provide you the tools and methods for you to access the data from your desktop or over the web.  If you need to find the current OSAT scores for every store in your company you can do it.  If you need to find the how much cereal men named John buy on the first Monday of every other month in a two mile radius you can do that too.  Just give us a call and let us help you!
